Eyetracking cameras that show a users intent while taking an image. Instant cameras that track the users eye movements while they are using the camera and incorporate this into the final image. This work was based on research carried out by Alfred Yarbus, a Russian psychologist.

Scan Paths image taken with the second prototype camera.

The first Scanpaths prototype camera. The camera incorporates a thermal image printer to produce an instant image showing the scene photographed and an overlay of eyetracking data to where the photographer has looked during the act of taking the photograph. This reveals the intent of the photographer.
