DIY Hydrophones
DIY Hydrophones were used to record the testing of a DIY “Pedal Powered Submarine”
I constructed the hydrophones from laser cut perspex, o-ring, nuts, bolts, silicon, grommet, microphone cable, epoxy, IP68 cable gland and a peizo transducer.

DIY Submarine
The submarine was constructed by Marine Engineering Students from Newcastle University.

Testing
Testing took place on 6th April 2015 in the Marine Safety Training Centre, North Shields, UK
The 4 metre deep pool at the Marine Safety Training Centre functions well for this type of testing.
